Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Oversee pursuits, technical teams, project planning, design management, quality control, contract administration, and risk management.
  • Innovation: Drive initiatives to advance project design, operations, and business development.
  • Reputation Building: Enhance our reputation with clients, approval agencies, and industry professionals.
  • Team Management: Lead multi-disciplinary teams from proposals to final designs and construction services.
  • Resource Management: Identify appropriate resources and skill sets to achieve project objectives, manage costs and schedules, and ensure projects stay on track and within budget.
  • Mentorship: Lead by example, supporting internal policies and practices, and mentoring junior staff.
  • Networking: Grow internal and external networks to attract talent and develop client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years in progressive engineering and project management on mid to large-scale transportation projects.
  • Leadership: Experience as a deputy design manager, design manager, or quality manager on complex projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proven track record in leading design and construction support for transportation projects.
  • Business Acumen: Skilled in developing, negotiating, and managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues in a dynamic environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field; post-graduate degree preferred.
  • Certification: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Massachusetts.
