I always understood what John does. He finds great people for important roles and charges a meaningful fee to do it. For years, I avoided recruiters for exactly that reason. I don’t hire senior executives often, and I figured I could usually find “good enough” candidates on my own.

Our marketing team has always worked hard and cared deeply about the company. What became clear, though, was that as we grew, the structure and leadership model we were using simply wasn’t enough anymore.
