Your Opportunity: Build a Legacy in New England’s Transportation Network

Are you ready to leave your mark on New England’s transportation landscape? Our New England Transportation group is on the lookout for a dynamic Senior Project Manager to join a collaborative team of professionals dedicated to delivering impactful transportation solutions for state and municipal clients across New Hampshire and New England. Based in Auburn, NH, you’ll be part of a broader, multidisciplinary team with offices in Portland, ME; South Burlington, VT; Burlington and Boston, MA; and several satellite locations. This New England transportation design group, comprised of approximately 200 professionals, brings diverse perspectives and expertise to every project, creating a rich environment for innovation and growth.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Project Manager, you will lead and inspire a team of skilled professionals to execute complex transportation projects. With a focus on public-sector clients, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading teams in design and construction administration, overseeing scope, budget, and timelines to ensure high-quality delivery on every project.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact, managing all contracts and maintaining accountability throughout project phases.
  • Fostering inclusive and collaborative communication among stakeholders to align project goals, resolve challenges, and optimize outcomes.
  • Overseeing project documentation and reporting, ensuring timely, accurate records across all phases, from initial planning through to completion.
  • Drafting and managing project work orders, purchase orders, service contracts, and change orders.
  • Developing a positive, client-focused environment that promotes a culture of high-quality, collaborative design.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior and intermediate staff, building the next generation of transportation design leaders.
  • Engaging in business development to expand our network and welcome new talent.

Capabilities and Credentials

  • Significant experience in senior project management, overseeing diverse contracts for public sector clients.
  • Expertise with NHDOT design standards and experience leading technical teams.
  • Demonstrated business development and marketing skills to enhance our client relationships and broaden our reach.
  • Effective communicator who can translate complex design issues into clear and actionable solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, and AutoCAD products.
  • Strong collaborator with a track record of delivering inclusive, innovative projects on time and on budget.

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in New Hampshire.
  • A minimum of 10 years in project management, with proven experience leading successful consulting projects.
