**Position Title: Senior Coastal Engineer/Project Manager**

**Location:** New York City, NY (Preferred); Other locations and flexible office schedules may be considered for the right candidate.

**Company Overview:**

Our Client is seeking a dedicated Senior Coastal Engineer/Project Manager to join our fast-growing Coastal Engineering Solutions Practice. The successful candidate will serve as a leader and experienced project manager with a minimum of 10 years in coastal engineering. Our Coastal Engineering Solutions Practice is involved in a diverse range of coastal projects globally. The preferred location for this role is the greater New York City, NY area.

**Responsibilities:**

As a Senior Coastal Engineer/Project Manager, you will be expected to have expertise in the following areas:

– Natural Hazards and Coastal Risk
– Coastal Hydrodynamics and Morphology
– Coastal Zone Management, Environmental Restoration, and Enhancement
– Climate Change, Resilience Planning, and Sea Level Rise Impacts
– Coastal Engineering Design
– Construction oversight of coastal projects

**Key Responsibilities:**

– Demonstrate a high level of understanding in coastal zone management, resilience planning, and related fields.
– Lead high-level project management and provide oversight for ongoing projects in the NYC region.
– Drive business development opportunities and facilitate program growth in the region.
– Proven ability to successfully complete complex projects in coastal environments.
– Provide leadership at a program and project level, collaborating with other team members to deliver projects.
– Plan, schedule, conduct, or coordinate detailed project phases in coastal, estuarine, and marine-related projects.
– Collaborate with the National Program Director to expand marketing and growth in the NYC region.
– Prepare cost estimates, project estimates, and schedules.
– Oversee the preparation of final documents and reports.
– Contribute to proposal preparation and marketing efforts.
– Offer construction management and administrative services.
– Mentor and oversee personnel involved in coastal investigations and planning work.
– Coordinate work with other coastal professionals both within and outside of your discipline, as well as with support services staff.
– Communicate effectively and apply a high level of understanding of coastal zone management practices.

**Minimum Qualifications:**

– Master of Science degree in Science or Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in one of the areas of expertise listed above, OR
– Bachelor of Science degree in Science or Engineering with a minimum of 15 years of experience in one of the areas of expertise listed above.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

– Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to conduct effective client and agency presentations and prepare written reports.
– Current registration as a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Science Professional.
– ACOPNE Certification – Diplomat in Coastal Port, Ocean, and/or Navigation Engineering.
– Demonstrated project experience through professional publications and presentations.
– In-depth understanding of the Coastal Zone Management market and future trends to contribute to the expansion of the Coastal Practice.
