About Us: We are seeking a Senior Airport Electrical Engineer/Manager to join our team. This individual will actively participate in the development of proposals and marketing materials using specialized knowledge of electrical systems, airfield lighting design criteria, and industry standards. As a strong leader, the chosen candidate will lead and mentor others while collaborating with stakeholders to develop top-tier project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on the design of projects of various complexity and act as a subject matter expert providing technical advice and guidance to other team members, particularly in airfield electrical design and airport navigational aids.
  • Liaise with clients, agencies, and other stakeholders to determine project objectives, requirements, and approvals.
  • Examine field conditions to support the development and completion of project designs.
  • Ensure quality control/quality assurance review of electrical engineering/airfield lighting engineering documents, including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
  • Provide technical advice and mentorship to other team members, including airport electrical engineers, aviation planners, and construction personnel.
  • Perform electrical engineering design tasks on various projects, including preparation and coordination of project deliverables and documents.
  • Review work for accuracy and coordinate with others to ensure quality assurance and quality control for all final products.
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals, statements of qualifications, and other marketing endeavors, including client interviews and presentations.
  • Stay up to date on regulatory and design criteria changes and actively participate in professional organizations.
  • Perform other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Extensive experience in the airport engineering consulting field and in the preparation of design documents that comply with relevant design criteria for airfield lighting and navigational aids.
  • Technical expertise in airport electrical design and understanding of various design methods.
  • Advanced knowledge of airfield lighting design, navigational aids, Airfield Lighting Control & Management Systems, and airfield electrical infrastructure design.
  • Effective in building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Thorough knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards.
  • Ability to solve complex problems using sound professional judgment, creativity, and innovation.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in a project team setting, engage in creative and critical thought, and effectively communicate ideas, design issues, and solutions to others.
  • Demonstrated ability to work closely with the leadership team in support of the company’s vision and business goals/objectives.
  • Ability to work in a typical office environment with computers and sit, stand, and walk for significant periods of time.
  • Ability to navigate and walk on uneven terrain during field inspection or site visits and withstand exposure to normal weather conditions, including inclement weather.
