Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Field Sales Executive with a history of overperformance to join our team. As a Sales Director, you will engage with a targeted set of large enterprises, identify and align our solutions with customers’ business drivers, and work with various stakeholders to win new business.
You will be supported by leading software solutions and the best sales talent, training, tools, and partners in the industry. You will set the strategy and direct the efforts of a wide team of company and partner resources in pursuit of opportunities. Our Sales Directors are passionate about teaching customers something new and valuable about how to compete in their market and translating that into a commercial relationship.
Position Responsibilities:
- Win new business and develop existing accounts.
- Build relationships with key influencers and develop business insights into assigned accounts.
- Work independently and with business development resources on targeted accounts.
- Develop and execute prospecting strategies to identify, qualify, and close new business.
- Secure and lead face-to-face meetings with business leaders and decision-makers, including C-level executives.
- Deliver compelling customer presentations and proposals that articulate our value proposition and support the prospect’s strategic objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and grow an ongoing sales pipeline.
- Maintain current and accurate information on account status, sales activity, and overall account plans.
- Manage the account development and opportunity pursuit process from initial assignment through close.
- Accurately forecast new bookings.
- Develop and deploy strategies for securing new accounts.
- Apply consultative and solution-based sales skills to manage sales cycles.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience with direct experience in enterprise software sales.
- Industry experience in technology, insurance, or financial services is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to exceed sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the steps involved in a sales cycle and the ability to leverage each stage to advance the sale.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply proven sales methodologies.
- Ability to prospect and manage a designated territory to maximize revenue growth.
- Proven ability to build trusting relationships with executive levels of an organization.
- Comfortable with the product value proposition and speaking to both technical and non-technical executives.
- Operate with a sense of urgency, be aggressive, competitive, and demonstrate a positive, winning attitude.
- Superior time management skills and strong attention to detail.
- Effective negotiation skills, balancing value and time to close.
- High levels of business/financial acumen and emotional intelligence.
- Ability to understand complex client strategies and tactical requirements and articulate the company’s offerings to develop solutions that deliver value.
- Understanding of current web and cloud technologies.
- Ability to develop and sustain critical relationships across client and prospect bases.
- Proficiency in using common desktop office and business technologies.
- Exceptional overall communication skills.
