Regional Vice President of Professional Learning

Job Description: The Regional Vice President of Professional Learning is the executive officer of the services business in their assigned region. To excel in this role, you will champion the long-term vision and mission of the department and company, oversee the effective delivery of services, expand business, drive profitability, improve efficiencies, maintain accountability, monitor KPIs, and cultivate a strong, collaborative culture across your regional group.

This role reports to the Chief Services Officer and works collaboratively within and across the department to best meet the needs of our customer partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing the Professional Learning Business Regionally:

  • Oversee the equitable distribution, proper forecasting, and effective delivery of all professional learning activities across all content verticals in your region.
  • Track and regularly communicate regional delivery forecasts, sales forecasts, sales support usage, team utilization metrics, and team profitability across the services leadership group.
  • Leverage Salesforce to identify and track opportunities for and forecast professional learning sales and delivery in your region.
  • Utilize forecasts to determine headcount needs for your region.
  • Drive your team toward accomplishing individual, departmental, and company-wide goals.
  • Ensure the highest level of service delivery in your territory and departmentally; address and resolve partner concerns, prioritize partner needs, and gather/analyze partner feedback.

Managing and Mentoring Your Team:

  • Champion the overall mission and core values of the Services division and the company, cultivating them across your team.
  • Lead, grow, and develop a lean team of Directors.
  • Manage day-to-day requests and approvals for each team member.
  • Empower Directors to take ownership of their roles, invest in their professional growth, and cultivate growth in their team members.
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among team members.
  • Communicate regularly with Directors individually and as a region.
  • Utilize annual reflection and quarterly goal-setting to drive Directors toward goals.

Managing Tiered Customer Partnerships:

  • Support VIP accounts in your territory as needed.
  • Create and manage a full-scale scope of work in partnership with the customer.
  • Schedule and manage all professional learning according to the scope of work and ensure thorough data collection and reporting.
  • Facilitate partnership meetings with key stakeholders to promote data-driven accountability.
  • Establish goals at the beginning of each partnership and use data to track progress throughout implementation.

Supporting Sales:

  • Partner with Sales RVPs and Account Executives to ensure collaboration and communication across sales and services.
  • Proactively monitor sales activity and opportunities in your territory.
  • Delegate sales support activities to the appropriate Director or Sr. MSP.
  • Support the sales team by delivering presentations and designing customer-specific solutions, proposals, and RFP responses.
  • Provide presence and thought leadership at regional and national summits, conferences, and other events as needed.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Develop and use collaborative relationships within and across departments to influence product development, contribute to marketing and thought leadership efforts, etc.
  • Grow professionally in areas such as adult learning theory, research-based best practices in teaching, professional learning design, and leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or apparent.

Travel Commitment: This role is field-based and will require travel approximately 50-60% of the time, regionally.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Classroom teaching experience.
  • 8+ years of experience leading a team.
  • Cognitive Coaching certification.
  • Significant success in similar roles.
  • Exemplifies core values to the highest level.
  • Exceptional time management skills, including detailed calendar management, effective goal setting, and efficiency in task prioritization.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Solution-minded and detail-oriented.

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills.
