Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer/Architect to join our team. As a Network Engineer/Architect, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization’s network infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure seamless connectivity, optimal performance, and robust security across our network.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implementation: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand organizational requirements and design network solutions that meet business needs. Implement network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other hardware components.

  • Configuration and Optimization: Configure network devices to ensure efficient data flow, low latency, and high availability. Optimize network performance by fine-tuning settings and protocols.

  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and troubleshoot issues promptly. Resolve hardware and software problems related to network connectivity, ensuring minimal downtime.

  • Security Measures: Work closely with other IT professionals to develop and implement network security measures. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices. Protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats.

  • Maintenance and Updates: Conduct regular network maintenance, including software updates, patches, and hardware upgrades. Keep the network infrastructure up-to-date and resilient.

  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, processes, and procedures. Create network diagrams, inventory lists, and troubleshooting guides.

  • Support and Training: Provide network engineering support to other team members. Assist with network-related inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and offer training as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE are highly desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of X years of experience in network engineering or architecture roles.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
    • Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.).
    • Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
    • Knowledge of network security principles and practices.
    • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Problem-solving mindset.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Work Schedule:

  • This position is part-time, requiring approximately 4-5 hours per week or 20 hours per month.
