Fund Manager – SEC Financial Reporting
Location: Boston, MA | Hybrid (2–3 days/week in office)
A global investment firm is seeking a Fund Manager – SEC Financial Reporting with strong technical accounting expertise in private equity, real assets, or investment management. This role is ideal for a CPA with experience in public company reporting and a deep understanding of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and fund-level operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Compliance

Lead preparation and review of monthly NAVs, semi-annual/annual financial statements, and investor reporting

Ensure compliance with US GAAP, Lux GAAP, and other local GAAPs as applicable

Conduct technical accounting research and apply appropriate guidance to fund structures and investment vehicles

Maintain financial disclosure checklists and reporting calendars for timely SEC and CSSF filings
Fund Management & Oversight

Analyze liquidity, fund cash flows, and manage operating cash in partnership with treasury and fund administrators

Prepare board-level reports and presentations

Manage third-party relationships including auditors, fund administrators, and tax advisors

Coordinate audits and ensure timely financial closes

Oversee fund-level debt reporting and compliance with credit agreements
Financial Analysis & Collaboration

Analyze fund performance, returns, and performance attribution

Collaborate cross-functionally with investment and portfolio management teams

Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding financial performance and accounting treatment
Qualifications:

6+ years of experience in public accounting, investment management, or fund administration

CPA required

Expertise in US GAAP, SEC reporting standards, and familiarity with Lux GAAP

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with Investran, eFront, or Great Plains is a plus

Fair value reporting experience preferred

Background in open-end fund structures preferred
Education:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field (CPA required)
