Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Warehouse Operations to oversee and manage all aspects of our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective warehouse processes, optimizing inventory management, and leading a team to achieve operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse operations, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of warehouse managers and staff to ensure high performance and engagement.
- Operational Efficiency: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity within the warehouse.
- Inventory Management: Ensure accurate inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock levels.
- Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety standards and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the warehouse operations budget, ensuring cost-effective operations while meeting performance targets.
- Technology Integration: Leverage warehouse management systems (WMS) and other technologies to streamline operations and improve data accuracy.
- Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and materials.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including procurement, logistics, and customer service, to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of successfully managing warehouse operations and leading teams.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
