Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Structural Design Manager with 15 years of experience in bridge design and transportation project delivery. This role offers flexibility between our Burlington, MA office and hybrid work.

This is your chance to lead and manage innovative engineering projects across Massachusetts and New England. You’ll oversee pursuits, technical teams, project planning, design management, quality control, contract administration, and risk management. Your success will drive your career forward.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive initiatives to advance project design, operations, and business development.
  • Enhance our reputation with clients, approval agencies, and industry professionals.
  • Set project objectives, procedures, and performance standards.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams from proposals to final designs and construction services.
  • Represent the design team as a technical leader.
  • Manage resources, costs, schedules, and ensure projects stay on track and within budget.
  • Lead by example, supporting internal policies and practices.
  • Expand internal and external networks to enhance our reputation and attract talent.
  • Develop client relationships to facilitate project activities.
  • Promote partnerships in project pursuits.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a deputy design manager, design manager, or quality manager on mid to large-scale projects.
  • Proven track record in leading design and construction support for transportation projects.
  • Skilled in developing, negotiating, and managing project scopes, schedules, and budgets.
  • Business development and marketing skills.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, mentor, and develop a team.
  • Effective communication skills in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with Design-Build or alternative project delivery methods.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field; post-graduate degree preferred.
  • MA Licensed Professional Engineer.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive engineering and project management experience with bridge design and transportation project delivery.
