Job Description Summary

As a member of the Portfolio Operations team, the Vice President will assist the Head of InfRA Portfolio Operations in providing oversight, coordination, and support to the functional operations groups. These groups support the operation and servicing of the Infrastructure Income Partnership (HIIP) fund including the outsourced service providers such as the Administrator.

The Vice President, Portfolio Operations will provide support to the portfolio investment management team and product specialists in areas including fund and investment reporting, marketing support, and special projects. The position will be an InfRA group liaison with internal departments such as Accounting, Tax, and Investor Relations.

Job Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of the private equity industry, fund structures, and fund strategies including open-ended alternative investment funds.
  • Experience with complex tax structures.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and reporting requirements.
  • Experience with issuing Capital Calls and Distribution notices and Investor reporting.
  • Independence and self-motivation, with the ability to address conflicts and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines while producing quality deliverables.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to formulate and support a documented thesis.
  • Partner with the investment team, working with team members of all levels and experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint); eFront, and other web-based applications.


Responsibilities

Fund Operations: 40%

  • Oversight of quarterly subscription, unit issuance, and redemptions (client on/off-boarding).
  • Assist with fund liquidity and drawdowns.
  • Manage performance analysis and reporting.
  • Assist with ad-hoc information requests.

Oversight: 30%

  • Ensure operational obligations such as fund reporting are met in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for keeping all internal and outsourced operations teams informed of vehicle activity.
  • Be the key point of contact for internal teams and outsourced operations teams regarding vehicle inquiries.

Administrative and Other Projects: 30%

  • Participate in weekly Investment group meeting.
  • Assist with fund cashflow modeling
  • Prepare and maintain all monitoring materials for HIIP
  • Assist with the preparation of internal portfolio review and strategic discussion materials.
  • Liaise with the Accounting group on financial reporting requirements.
  • Respond to ad-hoc internal inquiries and requests.
  • SMA updates including capacity, deal updates, data room management, client communications, etc.
  • Coordinate with the RFP team in crafting data responses to I&RA-related RFP materials
  • Respond to ad-hoc marketing-related inquiries and requests / prepare materials for client consumption.


Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with strong
academic credentials; professional designation such as CPA, CFA, or CAIA plus
Work Experience: 7+ years of relevant work experience including time in
private equity/accounting.
