Join Our Team as a Senior Utility Design Engineer!

Are you an experienced civil engineer with a passion for utility system design? We’re looking for a Senior Utility Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. With a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a variety of transportation and site infrastructure projects for municipal, state, and federal agency clients. This role offers flexibility between our Auburn, NH, Quincy, MA, Boston, MA, or Burlington, MA offices and hybrid work.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design Leadership: Lead the design of utilities, roadway, grading, stormwater/drainage, and other key elements of civil engineering projects.
- Utility Systems: Oversee the design of water, sewer, stormwater/drainage, gas, steam, electrical, and communication-data systems, focusing on conflict avoidance and service maintenance or expansion.
- Mentorship: Coach and mentor junior civil engineers on various projects.
- Coordination: Coordinate with public and private utilities regarding relocations and system maintenance during construction.
- Quality Assurance: Review design drawings, calculations, models, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates for conformance with client standards and industry best practices.
- Documentation: Prepare engineering reports and technical studies to support project approval processes.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with team members, other disciplines, and subconsultants.
- Fieldwork: Perform field investigations and provide construction phase services support.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years in utility system design with project management experience a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in civil engineering software and a strong understanding of utility systems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership: Ability to lead, motivate, and mentor a team.
