Your Opportunity

We’re seeking a talented Senior Civil Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of utility system design experience (project management experience is a plus). This role offers flexibility between our Auburn NH, Quincy MA, Boston MA, or Burlington MA offices and hybrid work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Excellence: Lead utility, roadway, grading, and stormwater/drainage design.

  • System Oversight: Manage water, sewer, gas, electrical, and communication-data systems.

  • Mentoring: Coach and guide junior engineers.

  • Collaboration: Work with public/private utilities for system relocations and maintenance.

  • Quality Assurance: Review design documents for compliance with standards.

  • Technical Reports: Prepare engineering reports and studies.

  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues and subconsultants.

  • Field Support: Conduct investigations during construction.

Qualifications

  • Leadership: Guide technical teams from concept to project close-out.

  • Track Record: Deliver work products on time, within budget, and scope.

  • Proactive Attitude: Detail-oriented, reliable, and punctual.

  • Communication: Strong oral and written skills in office and virtual environments.

  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with MassDOT, Massport, and DoD design standards (a plus).

  • Software Proficiency: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Pipe Networks, ArcGIS Desktop, and ArcGIS Collector (preferred).

Education and Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s in Engineering.

  • Licensure: Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Massachusetts.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in utility system design (project management experience a plus).

  • Work Environment: Primarily office or virtual setting, with occasional field work.
